2012: Year of the Pencil Skirt
2012 pretty much ended up being the year of pencil skirt purchases for me. I bought 14 new pencil skirts--12 from J. Crew and 2 from Talbots, and I'm happy to say that they were all sale purchases. J. Crew is hands-down my favorite place to buy a pencil skirt, and when it's sale time and my educator discount can be applied, a good deal can be had. My biggest splurge was the No. 2 double serge wool skirt in neon azalea wool which cost $56 (reg. $120), and the least expensive was the Talbots painterly floral pencil skirt for $14 (reg. $89.50). I still have yet to wear the Raj paisley print and the royal violet skirt, but I'll get there! My favorite is the double serge...
