Sunshine in Winter: Pie Crust and a Yellow Dress
This is what October wore on Thanksgiving day. Incidentally, she also made her first pie crust the day before. She doesn't like to cook with shortening, and those cold butter crusts are so complicated (she doesn't have a blender), so she made this one with Canola oil. It was delicious as part of a pumpkin pie. October made another one for a quiche. It certainly didn't look perfect, but if you've ever been hesitant about making an easy pie crust with oil, October recommends trying it.
