Trench Coats & Hypothermia

In an attempt to not wear one of my many black coats I decided to mix it up with a trench. Bad choice. But I am still torn about which coats to buy! There was a burnt orange one at Zara I loved but how often could I wear such a unique coat? Do I spend money on special coats that stand out or basic black that I can wear over and over again? With Christmas looming I can't bring myself to buy a new coat even though I really really want one. Maybe I'll take a look after Christmas. Or maybe Santa will bring me the...
