I remember reading a post by Garance Doré saying that wearing a hat is like walking down the street with a puppy: everybody stops to look and talk to you about it. Well all I can say is try wearing a cape, a fedora and shoes that look like slippers all at the same time. Everyone had something to say about the outfit, be it a spiteful remark or a charming compliment.
