I have a soft spot for vintage clothing labels, and the one on this dress reads "Pat Perkins...a dress to treasure." That tagline captures what I love best about vintage dresses; they're beautifully made and often one of a kind, and they have long histories filled with adventures and alterations and who knows what else. Vintage clothing is made to treasure. Saturday is usually estate sale day for my mom, sister, and I, and today was no exception. I picked up a bunch of stuff this morning--a mix of 1940's separates, 1950's circle skirts, and pretty blouses.
