Breakthrough
I’ve had quite a productive weekend. While trying to come up with more short story ideas, I read my two favorite collections, Neil Gaiman’s Smoke and Mirrors and Fragile Things (I’m really trying to imitate his style), and found a set of 12 little stories that he wrote for Tori Amos’ album. It gave me the idea of taking one of my favorite albums and get my inspirations from the songs. I decided on Snow Patrol’s A Hundred Million Suns, because in my opinion it’s the most lyrically poetic and musically ethereal of their albums, which fits right in with my writing style.
