Well we survived yet another freak October storm, this time unscathed by the mass power outages and tree wreckage we experienced last year. After seeing the photos of the gargantuan amount of damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, we count ourselves as supremely lucky for walking away in one piece. Our local weatherman predicted that the inland areas of Connecticut would see high sustained winds causing difficult and dangerous driving conditions, so my boss lady let me stay home on Monday seeing as how I am something of a tentative driver even in stellar weather. This allowed for me to get in some much needed tube time so I could catch up on my new favorite PBS series Call...
