Since I'm Japanese I thought it would be fun to share some facts on how the Japanese celebrate their New Years.
-New Year is the most important holiday in Japan
-Traditionally it is celebrated peacefully with family and is a time for reflection and resolution
-New Years Eve is also a day for cleaning. People spend A LOT of time cleaning (purifying) their homes
-People eat Buckwheat noodles that represent longevity on New Years eve
-At midnight Buddhist temples all over...
