A Truth Universally Acknowledged
This blouse is not my usual style at all (polyester, puffed sleeves, etc.), but when I saw the print, I knew I had to get it – the Regency is one of my favorite eras, fashion-wise, and since wearing a Regency dress myself is not practical, a shirt full of Regency gowns is the next best thing. I balanced the outfit between the feminine and the masculine by pairing the shirt with my waistcoat. It ended up looking a bit waiter-y, but that’s OK. The print and the brooch kept it from looking too much like a uniform.
