Basket of Lilies
Here’s my outfit for this week’s SIA, inspired by August Wilhelm Holmström’s basket of lilies-of-the-valley for the House of Fabergé. I know I’d wear this brooch – it’s not my only lily-of-the-valley brooch, but the other one is more subtle, so I went with the one that most resembles an actual lily-of-the-valley. For the rest of the outfit, I went with this green dress for simplicity’s sake, and paired it with my woven belt and sandals to mimic the “basket” part of the sculpture. Basically, since the temperature refuses to go down, I’m dressing like it is spring out of spite :))
