My school just welcomed the new crop of freshmen this past week. As usual, when meeting the students for the first time, I always try to give them an impression of who I am through my outfit. This navy dress is a hand-me-down from my sister, but it feels very “me” as well – it’s fun and relaxed, not too severe like my button-up dress, with the gingham trim and tie at the waist to add some interest (and pockets!) I echoed the gingham in my woven shoes, and added my Big Bad Wolf/Little Red Riding Hood brooch for a touch of whimsy too, because it wouldn’t be a “me” outfit without some whimsical brooch, would it?
