So Long, Bistro Crops
Last week, post SDW50 I had to dig deep to locate these ancient Johnnie B moccasin shoes which are more akin to slippers these days. The only time I ever wear them is after a very long run that has taken its toll on my feet. They've probably been in hibernation since before lockdown but I kept them for those just in case moments and last week was that moment. I worked from home on Monday as I could barely walk and wore the red shoes Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On my day off on Thursday, my feet were saved by what I thought were a too big pair of Nike Pegasus Trail which I couldn't be bothered to return sometime last year. Almost like I foresaw a week of blisters.... ...
