South Downs Way 50 miles 2024 = we did it! 5am alarm call last Saturday, 6am pick up and an 8:30am start in Worthing. It was a very warm and sunny 5 mile uphill start to reach the South Downs Way then we settled in for the next 45 miles of ups and downs to reach Eastbourne. The first 11ish miles flew by, we reached the first aid station, crossed
over a busy road and then out came the poles for the first time as the
hills really kicked in. With 400 finishers there was rarely a time you
were alone on the path or couldn't see a tiny ant-like trail of runners
