Desert Rose
Annoyingly, after some fall temperatures last week, the weather is warming up again (hopefully not for long though!) I reluctantly dug out some summery pieces that I hadn’t put away. This blouse is another hand-me-down from my sister, and the print and the silhouette have a vague 1910s-1920s feel to them, so I paired it with my long skirt and spectator shoes – these are always my go-to when I want to evoke an Edwardian/WWI aesthetic. Plus, the buttons on the blouse and the buttons on the skirt match, and the color of the print matches the desert rose blooms behind me, so I’m quite happy with it, even though it wasn’t what I’d expected...
