Jawbreakers
This week’s SIA, inspired by Wayne Thiebaud’s “ Jawbreaker Machine “, took me some thinking. Polka dots would be a natural choice for this, but I don’t have anything that colorful in my wardrobe. In the end, I went with this skirt because it’s the most colorful summer piece I have, and it reflects the background of the painting and the machine itself quite well. For the jawbreakers themselves, I went with this handkerchief (which I wore here as a neckerchief), since it’s also quite colorful, and the berries printed on it can be seen as a representation of the jawbreakers.
