Welcome to the Deep Freeze

It's been a bit of a week, starting with a brief but hectic visit from my bosses and followed by the onset of the mother of all colds which has kept me confined to the sofa for most of the weekend so far. Consequently, this post will be short and sweet, just an update of what's been happening since I signed off on Monday. Oh, and did I mention that the weather has entered the Deep Freeze stage? The mercury, which had dropped slightly below zero overnight, only climbed to 2°C on Friday 9 December.
