Chojnice
Chojnice. It’s the nearest ‘big’ town. It’s not really that big, not when you’re used to living in Toronto, but it is the biggest town around.
Takes about 40 minutes to drive there. It’s where my Babcia was born and where she lived for a while.
It’s where we went to the mall – the closest one. The square is darling and delightful. But I never know if it’s the original or the reproduction. You see, many many things were utterly leveled and destroyed in the wars. Germany was not kind to Poland.
