Shell we Lay the Table? One tabletop idea you conch resist when you sea it… Setting the table at Lord Beaverbrook’s magnificent country house really took me on a walk through history. From gorgeous gardens to stone pavilions dotted around the grounds, there is an abundance of inspiration to be found here. Nevertheless, it was the shell-encrusted grotto by Belinda Eade that captured me the most and was the inspiration for Sharland England ’s Autumn tablescape. It’s quite magical! The grotto pays tribute to Lord Beaverbrook’s wife’s love of shells and depicts sea nymphs from Greek mythology, mermaids and fish.
Rolling with the nautical vibe, I used our Napa tablecloth in blue and cognac and warmed it all up...
