After 3 attempts, I finally was able to go try Coffee Banff (a kissa attached to a batting center in Oizumi Gakuen). I was intrigued because I just couldn’t see the correlation between coffee, baseball and Banff, and even though the inside of the kissa was reminiscent of a Canadian ski chalet, nothing else was (the menu was classic kissa stuff). I know Banff had a huge boom in Japan in the 80s, but that’s all I could think of. The atmosphere inside was really nice and calming, but the owner wasn’t very friendly (I truly felt like I had invaded her private space), and she asked me to refrain from posting pictures of the inside of the kissa on social media,...
