Channeling Audrey
At the risk of sounding really basic, I’m totally channeling Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday with this outfit. The general feel of the outfit is there though my skirt is not quite right, my shirt (a hand-me-down from my mom) has a camp collar rather than a normal button-up, and I’m missing a neckerchief. Actually, I built this entire outfit around the shoes. I don’t often go for such obvious inspiration, but when I saw that Aundrey was wearing lace-up flats in the still image (I didn’t pay much attention to her shoes when I was watching the movie – I only remembered the shirt and the skirt), I immediately thought of my lace-up...
