Mimosas
This has been the year for mimosa trees. I've never seen so many full pink blossoms and it just wouldn't be summer without them. Every year, I look them to bloom in this quiet shady field, and I love nothing more than to walk out here in the heat of the day and spend a few hours reclining beneath this tree, listening to the birds and the gentle breeze rustling the long golden grasses. On days like this I might bring a book, but I usually don't. It's better to let my mind rest from distraction so it can wander and dream here under the trees.
