From blog RAGS against the MACHINE
Often when I read blogs, I am astounded by the frequency of trips to other countries. This could be a reflection of my inevitable provincialism, a by-product of living in the American midwest. But I prefer to think that it has more to do with the vastness of the USA. I had many miles to ponder this and slowly realized that my own travel within the US was likely comparable to many of these jaunts. On this particular trip, I covered terrain--Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Nebraska--that may be familiar to American readers, but if you have ever been an international tourist, there is a great likelihood that this is terrain you missed.
