I sometimes wonder how we decide the seasons are a certain way. I suspect all these ideas we have about what should happen and when as it concerns the seasons, was all put into place a couple of hundred years ago when the European settlers arrived on the eastern most coast, but that part of the country seems to fall perfectly into these patterns, while the rest of us don't. For example, in this part of the country I've rarely ever seen a white Christmas, but I have seen plenty of white spring breaks.
