Strofylia forest in Kalogria
Even if I had already made a post with this same identical outfit here , I wanted to share these pics with you. I am again in the area of Kalogria, 45km from Patras, in previous posts I have focused on the amazing sandy beaches here and in the protected marsh area for bird watching in this one . This time I want to speak about the protected Strofylia forest, that characterizes it, we are talking about 20.000 acres (80kilometers square) of pines, it is one of the largest in the Mediterranean. The forest goes all the way down to the coast and it is the place where the turtles Careta Careta lay the eggs. ...
