An Afternoon at The Guggenheim.
Ahhhhh the Guggenheim. To me, there are very few spots that are more iconic “New York.” It’s located all the way up on the Upper East Side at 89th street right across from Central Park. The cylindrical building itself was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and actually turned 60 this year! While it was initially imagined as a “temple of the spirit,” it reminds me of a giant shell. The gallery is in the shape of a ramp so you can walk the whole museum in one continuous spiral. It’s one of my favorite places in the city and incredibly relaxing to walk! (And right now there’s a super cool Basquiat exhibit on the top floor!)
