Genuine Lift
Running into an old friend…
…unexpectedly is such a wonderful joy. Running a quick errand that had me waiting for 30 minutes, I looked over and saw one of the great women I’m privileged to know sitting across the cafe.
She had seen me and called my name, and it just so happened that we both had a few minutes. It wasn’t long, but it was great to catch up briefly. And I realized after she left that the moment when a friend you haven’t seen in a while calls your name sends a wonderful rush through your body. A genuine physical lift. It’s even better when that person actually cares and is one kind soul.
