A Bright and Early Morning
"Early one morning, just as the sun was rising I heard a maid sing in the valley below" ~English folk song~ It's early and bright on this beautiful morning. It's difficult to think there are times of the year when at this same time of morning, I'll be sitting in darkness for hours still, waiting for the sun to come up. I like to be up early, getting some exercise, reading and praying, or just watching and waiting for the rest of the world wake up. I enjoy the calm and the private moment with nature. I'm more than an observer at this time, I'm part of it. I'm out with all the other creatures, a little less hurried perhaps, but I belong to that world,...
