Today, I bundled up to go to the Library of Congress where I had planned to make big headway on a paper. But like so many of the best laid plans, this one didn't turn out exactly as I hoped and I ended up falling down a research rabbit hole and spending the day with my nose in a big stack of books while checking out this view (not too shabby! just don't tell the people in charge that I was breaking the rules and taking surreptitious photos).
