First Day of School
Today was the first day of school my twenty seven new fourth graders and me. Here I am in my first day outfit and my new lunchbox. (Just kidding about the bag, I'm way too scared about spilling salad dressing to put my lunch in it.) It was a good day: we got through many procedures and I even got to teach real lessons in reading (plot elements) and math (representing a fraction as a picture, decimal, money, and a percent.) I'm starting to figure out what strengths each kid has and more importantly, which ones get my jokes. Just kidding. Maybe. This photo was taken after school and just before I accidentally napped from exhaustion. Do you remember your first day...
