Austerity
When the landscape around me gets austere with the death that Winter brings, all I want to do is layer texture and life into my clothes. It’s like a need to provide balance. If the world is without interest and color and flamboyance, then somehow my wardrobe needs to pick up the slack. Sure it may be a bit much to wear to a coffee date – but you know what? We need a little ‘too much’ in the depths of Winter austerity.
