While I would strongly recommend avoiding a head to toe outfit in one color--although there are exceptions to every rule--layering different shades of the same color can be really fun and interesting to look at, especially with colors that can easily be muted if improperly coordinated. This pale yellow dress is so lovely with its daffy-down-dilly ruffle, but pairing it with over powering colors would hide its lovely hue. That's why I decided to pair it with this warm mustard cardi and wedges to really bring out the depth of its yellow-ness. Ok, yellow-ness isn't a real word, but you know what I mean.
