On this particular day, I noticed the cord that ties these shoes was getting a little bit worn. They were cheap, so I wasn’t really surprised. Anyway, I forgot about it and put them back in my closet.
Fast forward to last Friday when I was up at 4:30am to catch a flight to NYC for my birthday weekend (the only good reason to be up at 4:30am).
