A Visit From Granny
There’s a slight smell of grass being cut in the distance and the heat feels humid, at record breaking temperatures this summer in Los Angeles.
Dresses like this always remind me of my Granny. She loved working in her rose garden and any time we would stop by for a regular visit, she made iced tea with mint leaves plucked from her garden. “Now go out there and pick some mint,” she would instruct me. I relished in the task, often taking my time and smelling each leaf. The summer time reminds me of her in so many ways.
