Sweater Girl
Did you know they used to have "sweater girl" competitions similar to swimsuit competitions? The term "sweater girl" became popular in the 1940s and 50s when form-fitting sweaters that often emphasized curves came into fashion alongside several Hollywood actresses who made the look iconic, like Lana Turner. It was considered a bit risque in the day, but now looking back I get such a kick out of the idea of a sweater girl competition. Like can I enter the granny-chic cardigan competition?
