Southampton Marathon - PB Party (Running)
I did it folks! Well, sort of. After training all winter in cooler temperatures, rain, snow and just in general on grey miserable days, race day was about 25 degrees in the sunshine. And there was not a single cloud in Southampton last Sunday. Or any shade. Fun times. Plan A was sub-4, Plan B was a PB for me and Plan C was to get my clubmate to the finish on his debut marathon. I realised early on that plan A was probably out of the window - partly because the half and the full both started at 9am on the same route (the half ran one lap, the marathon was two) and it was SO congested we spent most of the first lap weaving around people, getting cut up, trying to...
