The $60,000 Check That Almost Didn’t Happen
I bought my first house when I was 24 years old.
It was a former drug repo house that was literally a wreck + smelled like urine + and the train tracks were a stones throw away.
But I walked in and all I saw was the beauty I KNEW I could turn it into.

how to do electrical work
how to lay tile
how to install a toilet
ALL I knew was that I could learn and I was capable of doing hard things.
So I was “that girl” who went to every Home Depot class! I didn’t spend my weekends at the pool hashtagging cool things like # girlsquad and # blessed .
