Or should that be 'cheesed off'? January's been pretty miserable this year. Endlessly grey and damp days interspersed with days of wind and heavy rain. Barely a glimmer of sunshine, or any of those cold, crisp days that I would associated with this time of year. Even on those few days when the sun shines for 5 minutes, I've not been able to get outside as much as I do because of working to a PhD deadline. Up until a few months ago, my PhD was something that I could manage during working hours (it used to be part of the research in my day job) and on my Friday day off.
