tampering with history
I've had this vintage skirt for a few years, and I stopped wearing it once I sort of grew out of loving the midi-length. So the other day, I went and hacked off six inches, and now it's a mini! I always feel sort of sketchy/guilty about messing with vintage clothes like that, as if I'm tampering with history...but now that it's shorter, I can definitely see myself wearing it a lot more often. And anything's better than letting a beautiful piece of clothing languish in the back of your closet.
