Let me disclose by saying this skirt is not what I would call my typical style. For some reason I was drawn to it, though. I have been sewing the summer of maxi skirts, though – maybe that’s why. I had this lovely rayon challis from Sincerely Rylee that I thought would be perfect (again, despite the fact that I’m not a big floral fabric person) – all in all, this pattern was a bit risky for me. I wasn’t sure until I put it on if I’d even like it at all.
Yes. It is essentially a gathered square. But it’s exactly the right size of square resulting in this glamorous end product. I tend to stay away from gathers...
