Today there was a moment when I caught myself reminiscing about my childhood. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents house because my mother worked full time at night. I remember the summer being so peaceful, the windows open with just a hint of a breeze from outside...the rustle of the trees. My grandmother sitting in her chair after dinner, knitting and humming and my grandfather in "Grandpa's" chair with his big bowl of popcorn, watching Hayley Mills movies on the Disney Channel coming from the ginormous satellite dish out back...my grandmother would read to me every night and since I was an only child...I had her all to myself...those were the days....
