Cascais, Portugal Summer is a great season to visit Lisbon because it is not too hot due to the proximity of the ocean. Therefore Portugal is one of the world’s top surf destinations with a coastline of 800 kms. During our stay we made one-day trip to Cascais, a coastal town lying 40 minutes by train from Lisbon. It's a popular vacation spot with many glorious beaches among both natives and tourists.
