It's been awhile...
D here, After exiting a stall in the Target restroom today, a lady--who was waiting patiently in line--told me she loved my dress. I replied in the normal awe-struck way I do whenever anyone compliments me--all smiles and "awe, shucks." She then asked me where I got my dress, and I found myself hesitating to tell her. You see, I got my dress at Goodwill. In my mind, any other person who shops the racks of my local Goodwill is my competition. Thrifting is a fierce sport and can be brutally competitive.
