The Investment Dress
(Sunglasses: Madewell , Dress: Topshop , Shoes: Topshop , Earrings: Whistles , Bag: Tidy Street Store (similar here ) It happened a couple of years ago when I picked up this Topshop number from Net-a-Poter in their annual summer sale. I'd pondered it since seeing it on everyone from Alexa Chung to Laura Whitmore (typically fickle, Ms Purvis), but was insistent, and determinedly frugal, that I waited until I could get it for a fraction of the price. Fortunately I managed to snap it up at about half price, and since then the cost per wear has probably halved yet again, and it solidly remains one of the most worn pieces in my wardrobe... ...
