Summer Moments in Puglia
What is it about bella Italia that makes you want to straddle a scooter and channel Sofia Loren?
I’ve been wanting to go to Puglia for several summers and I finally got to do just that with a group of girlfriends for a week of orecchiette pasta, frizzante wine and little else. Tucked away in the heel of Italy, Puglia is known for it’s thumb-shaped pasta, cone-headed Trulli houses and bud-like ‘Pumi’ ornaments and splattered pottery. We were based between Cistenino and Ostuni in the heart of rural Puglia.
