When I think of the perfect summer holiday, I always subconsciously think of Greece…. White-washed villages, azure seas, scorching days and slabs of feta the size of your head; living in a Mama Mia re-make essentially. My first ever foray into Greece was to Zakynthos, or ‘Zante’, for our first ever girls trip, aged 18, post-A Levels and sans-parents. I would love to say the bright lights of Lagannas won me over to the charms of Greece on that trip but I’d be lying. In fact Lagannas and its infamous nightlife, jelly shots and Brits behaving badly would probably be one the last places I would want to go back to…. It was years later and trips...
