Colonia Since I am in Buenos Aires for work and have plenty vacation days saved up I decided that a few days off were well deserved. So, I got up early and decided it would be nice to cross the Mar de Plata river and take the ferry from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Colonia in Uruguay and spend the day. It takes about an hour to get there and it's a really comfortable ride. It's one of Uruguay's oldest towns with a small population of 22,000 people. I did a lot of walking and can imagine that living there must be very peaceful and very safe. The homes are quite colonial and they are all different. I happened to notice that all parked cars were unlocked, doors were open, homes...
