Clothing of The Revolution 2017 As I’ve already written about the event as well as my white anglaise , my levite is the most in need of explanation! This will be a photo heavy post, with less explanation, so read on for some pretty pretty pictures.
c. 1780 Levite Gown
The levite gown is a direct copy of a fashion plate. This was my first 18th c. dress ever, and surprisingly I’m still relatively pleased with the fit. My friend Rachel helped me to drape the initial bodice, and I then worked on alterations and fittings of that, as well as the sleeve pattern, on my own.
My main complaints now that I’m more knowledgable: the wrinkly center...
