Looking back
Just 20 years ago and before I made the decision to work exclusively as an artist I was working as an inner-city high school drop-out prevention mentor and education assistant. I learned so much from those young adults. They were smart, edgy, resourceful, and when they realized how much I truly liked them they worked hard for those gold stars. ;) It's moving for me to think that these students who I matured along with are now embarking on their 4th decade. Even a bit older than my age when I was working with them. I wonder if their lives have slowed down. I wonder if they have children who they are now teaching the dangers of their youthful lifestyle to. I wonder if...
