Gingham and ruffles. Sounds kind of twee, looks kind of cool….
Gingham trousers are 100% in my ‘buy now for Spring’ list if I had such a list, and while monochrome checks were all good in the winter, right now blue gingham is my picnic-blanket print of choice. The cutesy ruffled sneakers are clean, preppy and country club appropriate (all the things I’m not very good at being), but I decided to embrace the preppiness on my bottom half at least, and team the frilly tennis shoes with tailored gingham trousers.
