When: Sunday before last // Weather: 60s // Real life: seeing An American in Paris with live orchestra (!!)
In another reality, I was born a few decades earlier, I married Gene Kelly, and An American in Paris was our real life, not just a movie. Not that I’m complaining about my actual real life. S’wonderful, but it’s a distant second to the waltzing along the Seine version. (Just kidding. Sort of.)
Luckily, my real and alternate lives collided earlier this month when I got to see An American in Paris on a big screen, accompanied by live orchestra. I don’t know how many dozens of times I’ve seen that...
